Abstract

Background: One of the frequently occurring diseases in the developedcou ntries of 
the world - Acute cholecystitis.There is always a lack of agreement regarding timing of 
the operation in treatment of acute cholecystitis, since the advent of laparoscopic 
cholecystectomy. Hence, this study aims to compare both early and delayed or interval 
cholecystectomy in acute calculous cholecystitis
