Abstract

Introduction: Although the use of dexmedetomidine to spinal anaesthesia is becoming more and more
common, there isn't much agreement on the recommended dosage. Higher dosages of dexmedetomidine
are not advised due to dose-related lengthening of motor blockade duration and an increase in the
incidence of side effects, such as bradycardia and hypo tension.
