Abstract

Introduction: In recent years, there has been increasing recognition of the influence of mental health on 
cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and their risk factors. CVD causes premature mortality and morbidity, when 
co occurs with psychiatric illnesses, the overall mortality and morbidity is further increased, thus decreasing 
the life span and quality of life of the individual.
