Abstract

Background: Splanchnic veins thrombosis (SVT) is one of the rare but known complications of Acute 
Pancreatitis (AP). It usually involves Splenic vein (SPV), Superior mesenteric vein (SMV) and often 
Portal vein (PV) either individually or together.
