Abstract

Background & Methods: The aim of the study is to compare the effect of Dexmedetomidine, Clonindine and Fentanyl on intraoperative hemodynamics when used as adjuvant in epidural anaesthesia in lower limb orthopaedic surgeries. All the patients were underwent pre anaesthetic evaluation and were shifted to procedure room on the day of surgery. Drug and equipment necessary for resuscitation and general anesthesia were kept ready and 2 IV access using 18G cannula were secured and 500ml of RL infusion started which was given to all patients half an hour before anesthetic procedure as pre-loading.
