Abstract

Background: GDM is a common pregnancy disease with substantial maternal and fetal health effects. Detecting and treating GDM risk factors early improves mother and child outcomes. Objective: This study used a retrospective cohort of 180 individuals to examine demographic, clinical, and lifestyle risk factors for GDM in a specific group. Methods: A retrospective examination of 180 GDM patients was done. Maternal age, BMI, family history of diabetes, and lifestyle factors were examined. Chi-square testing and multivariate logistic regression were used to correlate these characteristics with GDM risk.
