Abstract

Orthopedics is a rapidly evolving field requiring continuous advancements in medical education to train future surgeons effectively. This study evaluates the impact of innovative teaching methodologies, such as simulation-based training and integrated learning modules, implemented at the Department of Orthopedics, Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore, between January 2023 and May 2024. Medical students, interns, and postgraduate residents participated in this prospective study. The primary outcomes assessed were knowledge retention, practical skills acquisition, and student satisfaction. The findings demonstrated significant improvements in knowledge scores and skill proficiency, highlighting the efficacy of novel educational strategies in orthopedic training.
