Background & Methods: The aim of the study is to study the Use of External Fixator with Distraction in Ligamentotaxis for the Treatment of Adult Distal End Radius Fractures. Under regional block anaesthesia or General Anaesthesia depending upon anaesthesiologist preference, patient was placed supine on the side attached table of operating table. In our technique, 5mm incision for 2 shanz pins, 2 in the middle third of the radius on the dorso lateral aspect about 10-12cm from distal end of radius 2-3cm apart made and a single 5mm incision made over dorsum of base of second metacarpal for distal two schanz pin fixation for 2 and 3rd metacarpal fixation. We have done minimal soft tissue dissection under xray image intensifier guidance, with all, care taken to avoid injury to neurovascular structure.
