Abstract

Background: Vitamins are involved in neurogenesis, a defense mechanism working in neurons, metabolic reactions, neuronal survival, and neuronal transmission. Previous studies have implicated role of Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D deficiency in formation of amyloid beta plaques and accumulation of synuclein in patients of Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
