Abstract

Background: Cataract is a major problem for diabetic patients because it decreases the vision, prevents adequate fundus examination and interferes with the strategy of laser photocoagulation for diabetic retinopathy. Present study was aimed to study effect of single intraoperative intravitreal injection of bevacizumab on central macular thickness in patients with diabetes mellites undergoing phacoemulsification cataract surgery under local anaesthesia, Material and Methods: Present study was prospective interventional observational single centre study conducted in patients above 40 years of age with Diabetes underwent Phacoemulsification cataract surgery under Local anaesthesia, Bevacizumab 0.05 ml (1.25 mg) was injected intravitreal.
