Background and Aims: Seizures are a prevalent neurological condition in children, with etiologies varying by age, symptoms, and geographical region. This study aimed to determine the etiological and clinical profile of seizures in children aged 1 month to 18 years presenting to a tertiary care hospital in Tamil Nadu. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 260 pediatric patients with seizures over 12 months. Data on demographics, clinical features, and etiologies were collected using a structured proforma. Diagnostic evaluations included neuroimaging, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis, and laboratory investigations. Seizure types were classified as Generalized Tonic-Clonic (GTC) or focal seizures based on the International League against Epilepsy (ILAE) guidelines. Statistical analysis was performed using chi square tests and odds ratios (OR) to assess associations.
