Abstract

Background: Spinal anaesthesia remains the preferred technique for lower limb surgeries due to its simplicity and efficacy. Adjuvants like dexmedetomidine and clonidine are increasingly used to enhance the quality and duration of spinal blocks. This study aims to compare the efficacy and safety profile of dexmedetomidine versus clonidine when used as adjuvants to 0.5% hyperbaric bupivacaine in spinal anaesthesia.
