Abstract

Introduction and Objectives: In the first week of life, jaundice is the most common 
aberrant finding. During the first week of life, nearly all babies will experience 
chemical hyperbilirubinemia, which is characterised as a blood total bilirubin level of 
2.0 mg/dL or more.
