Abstract

Introduction: The use of radiology, especially ultrasonography, is widely prevalent in obstetric care worldwide. Ultrasonography studies during pregnancy are used to identify fetal abnormalities that may impact the health of the fetus as well as that of the child post- delivery. Aims: To determine the normal values of fetal Myocardial Performance Index (MPI) and lay down its importance in the cardiac workup of foetuses.
