Abstract

Background: Stroke is a global health problem. It is the leading cause of adult disability and 
the second leading cause of mortality worldwide. Mortality from strokes is the second 
leading cause worldwide. About 15 million people suffer from non-fatal strokes leading to 
disability in about a third of patients.
