SERUM CYSTATIN C– CORRELATION WITH CARDIOVASCULAR COMPLICATIONS IN DIABETIC POPULATION

Abstract

Background: The estimation of Serum Cystatin C has become widely available in clinical 
practice. Though Cystatin C is an approved marker of renal dysfunction in diabetic population, 
its role is evolving as a marker of cardiovascular mortality as well as neuro-degenerative 
disorders like Alzheimer’s disease.
