Abstract

On November 8, 1895, Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered x-rays. Recent developments 
in imaging technology have led to a rapid increase in the use of ionizing radiation in 
medicine, which has potential for resolving a variety of clinical problems (1,2).
