Objective: The prevalence of anemia during pregnancy is reported to be as high as 80% in certain sections of the Indian population. Iron therapy in various forms has been shown to correct anemia and improve fetomaternal outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of intravenous iron sucrose (IVIS) versus oral iron therapy in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia among antenatal mothers attending a tertiary care center.
