Abstract

Background: Acute pancreatitis is a common gastrointestinal emergency with a clinical spectrum ranging from mild self-limiting disease to severe necrotizing pancreatitis associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Although most patients can be managed conservatively, a subset develops complications requiring surgical intervention. Data regarding the clinical profile and outcomes of  surgically managed acute pancreatitis patients in North Indian tertiary care settings remain limited
