Background: Preeclampsia is a multisystem hypertensive disorder of pregnancy associated with abnormal placentation, endothelial dysfunction, and significant maternal and fetal morbidity. Placental histopathological alterations are well recognized in preeclampsia; however, their relationship with maternal hemodynamic response to spinal anaesthesia remains insufficiently explored.
