Abstract

Background: Patients with pre-existing chronic illness faced compounded psychological strain during the COVID-19 pandemic, arising from disease vulnerability, disrupted care, and heightened infection-related fear. Contemporaneous data from South Indian tertiary-care settings remain limited.
