Abstract

Dengue fever, caused by the dengue virus, stands as the most prevalent arboviral
disease globally, with its incidence surging significantly in the past five decades due to factors
such as rapid urbanization, evolving lifestyles, and insufficient water management. Particularly
in tropical and subtropical regions like India, dengue fever has become endemic, posing a
considerable public health challenge.
