Abstract
This study aims to discover the role of health audit in evaluating the health policy adopted to confront the
Coronavirus (Covid 19) and to know the side effects of diseases and epidemics, especially on nurses working in
Saudi hospitals. Which include the costs of quarantine, as well as developing and implementing a plan of absorptive
capacity, monitoring measures and modifying them according to the level of response in hospitals and regions,
determining the reference hospitals to receive cases of Covid-19, evaluating their readiness and capacity at the
beginning of the pandemic, and preparing other hospitals after that to receive and treat cases, and count the numbers
of isolation and care rooms Focusing and monitoring respiratory care consumables and consumables, ECMO
devices, and the workforce to escalate and take the necessary measures as needed. The researchers concluded that
the health audit contributes to predicting, precaution and taking the necessary measures to get out of the pandemic
crisis with the least possible human losses, in addition to the costs of human lives and health risks of epidemics and
pandemics, and that health audits have an important role in evaluating health policy in general to reduce health
crises, so this type of scrutiny must be strengthened at the level of the Saudi health system, whether at the level of
the government or the level of health institutions, and this is to build an early system to confront future health crises.
