A Study On The Musculoskeletal Disorders Developed Among The College And University Students Due To Continuous Usage Of Smart Phones

Abstract
Despite the increasingly widespread popularity of electronic devices,
the usage of smart phone in different positions and postures for the longer
periods have an impact on increase in chances of musculoskeletal disorders. The
musculoskeletal disorders occurring due to excessive usage of smart phone due
to increased muscular activity of the neck muscles, trapezius muscle along with
head flexion and the tilting of head. The continuous usage of smart phone leads
to pain and fatigue of the neck and the hand. The review study concludes the
continuous usage of smart phone leads to pain and musculoskeletal disorders.
