ADVANCED EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PROTOCOLS: SKILL-BASED INTERVENTIONS FOR WOUND MANAGEMENT AND RAPID TRIAGE

Abstract

This paper aims at explaining the required changes in ED protocols of Northwestern to increase 
the efficiency of treatment by using skill-based interventions and rapid triage of patients. The 
main problem here is that with growing number of patients and complexity of emergency cases 
the traditional linear type of work usually does not guarantee adequate and efficient patient 
management.
