Abstract

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Trans arterial embolization (TAE) for iatrogenic renal injuries like renal arterial pseudoaneurysm (RAP) and renal arteriovenous fistula (RAVF) in our centre. We studied 10 patients who received TAE from Jan 2019 to Dec 2022. Data on demographics, clinical manifestation, imaging features, types of procedures undergone, embolization procedures, and perioperative details were collected. Technical and clinical success rates were 100% and 90% respectively with one patient showing haemoglobin drop within 2 days, repeat Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) showed rebleed from the aneurysm site which was coiled again successfully. This study demonstrated Trans Arterial embolization TAE from iatrogenic renal injuries was safe and has high technical and clinical success.
