Background: Patients with chronic renal failure have a higher risk of death from cardiovascular disease (CVD) when their serum phosphorus levels are elevated, by means of vascular calcification. Present study was aimed to study correlation of serum phosphate levels with carotid intima media thickness in patients with chronic kidney disease. Material and Methods: Present study was single-center, prospective, Cross- sectional study, conducted in patients with CKD stage 3, 4, and 5 according to KDIGO classification. Results: Total 62 subjects were investigated in our study. Majority i.e., 19 (30.6%) were in 61-70 years age group, were men (59.7%), 38 (61.3%) had diabetes mellitus, 40 (64.5%) were in stage 5 CKD, & 29 (46.8%) were undergoing Hemodialysis.
