To assess prevalence of renal dysfunction among patients of liver cirrhosis and correlation of severity of liver cirrhosis with the occurrence of hepatorenal syndrome

Abstract

Backgroud: Renal failure is often a common complication of patients with liver cirrhosis. Renal dysfunction is detected in 20–50% of patients who are admitted to the hospital. The short-term mortality of cirrhotic patients who develop renal dysfunction is unacceptably high, and early management of this condition is an unmet need.
