Abstract

Background: Alcohol consumption in India has increased significantly in recent decades, with 
changing social norms and increased availability contributing to rising rates of alcohol dependence. 
This study aimed to assess the impact of socio-demographic factors on alcohol dependence among 
patients at a tertiary care hospital in Hyderabad, India.
