Abstract

Background: The shape and morphology of the foramen magnum play a crucial role in
identifying the cause and formulating the treatment approach for neurological conditions such
as Arnold Chiari malformation. Transcondylar approach enables neurosurgeons to access the
brainstem and cervico medullary junction region with minimum retraction and it requires
thorough knowledge of different parameters of foramen magnum.
