Hypertension, characterized by elevated blood pressure, has long been 
recognized as a major contributor to cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery 
disease, stroke, and heart failure. However, the emergence of research suggesting a hereditary 
link to cardiovascular risk prompts a re-evaluation of our understanding.
