A Descriptive Study of Morphology and Morphometry of Pterion in Dried Adult Skulls

Background: Pterion is meeting point of parietal, squamotemporal, greater wing of sphenoid and
frontal bones . Certain important cranial structures like middle meningeal artery, Sylvian fissure, middle
cerebral artery are related to it which make it an important neurosurgical land mark. Stephanion and
euryon are other two Craniometric points on the skull. The pterion varies in shape in different skulls.
