DOI:

Introduction: Hypertensive disorders complicating pregnancy contribute significantly to
maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity. The spectrum of disorders includes
gestational hypertension, pre-eclampsia and eclampsia which are associated with poor
placentation, fetal growth restriction and long term maternal cardiovascular outcomes.
Cardiac manifestations are varied and can be studied by 2D and Doppler Echocardiography.
