BACKGROUND: It is estimated that approximately 200 million people worldwide were
diagnosed with thyroid disease. Thyroid dysfunction is a significant public health concern,
particularly among young women in developing countries. Therefore, understanding the current
prevalence of thyroid disease is of significant importance.
