Abstract

Background and objectives: Brain tumour related epilepsy is resistant to anti epileptic drugs, making tumour treatment an essential in achieving seizure control. Intraoperative electrocorticography can be used to guide excision of both lesion and seizure focus. Gross total tumour resection offers effective seizure control. This study also explores the possibility of identifying intracranial space occupying cases where anti epileptics can be avoided either for preoperative prophylaxis or prolonged postoperative period.
