Abstract

Recently, platelet concentrate has been shown promising effect in repair and regeneration of periodontal treatment. Many studies have been carried out to investigate the efficacy and biocompatibility of regenerative materials in literature. Platelet concentrates (PCs) are the growth factor concentrate that have a high number of platelets, growth factors, and leukocytes. First-generation PCs is made of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), while second generation PC is made of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). To increase the strength and regenerative power, various modification has been developed in PRP and PRF. The Researcher demonstrate the variety of Latest techniques, have been used for tissue restoration and repair by enhancing the properties of platelet concentrates. Therefore, this review discussed the various type of PRF and their effects that are currently used.
