Introduction: Hypothyroidism is most common endocrine disorder resulting in decreased levels of thyroid hormones. Hypothyroidism can be divided into primary, central and congenital hypothyroidism. Iodine deficiency is the most common cause of primaryhypothyroidism. In areas with sufficient dietary iodine, most common cause is hashimoto’s thyroiditis.
