Abstract

Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality globally, with dyslipidemia being a major modifiable risk factor. The Atherogenic Index of Plasma (AIP), calculated as log (triglycerides/HDL-C), has emerged as a potential marker for predicting  cardiovascular risk by reflecting the balance between atherogenic and protective lipoproteins.
