Background: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is commonly associated with dyslipidemia and increased cardiovascular risk. Plasma fibrinogen, an acute phase reactant and prothrombotic marker, has been implicated in the development of vascular complications in diabetic patients. The present study was conducted to evaluate the association between plasma fibrinogen levels and lipid profile abnormalities in patients with T2DM.
