Abstract

Background: Road traffic accidents are a major cause of craniofacial trauma worldwide and commonly result in temporal bone injuries. Damage to the temporal bone can affect the auditory apparatus, leading to varying degrees of hearing impairment. In patients with associated orthopaedic trauma, early otological assessment is often delayed because priority is given to life saving management. Identification of hearing deficits
