Background: Taste dysfunction is an often-overlooked complication of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). Alterations in taste perception may contribute significantly to unhealthy dietary patterns, which in turn promote weight gain and worsen glycaemic control. This study aims to explore the association between taste dysfunction and obesity in patients with T2DM.
