Abstract

Background: Obesity is a growing global health concern and a known risk factor for knee 
osteoarthritis requiring total knee replacement (TKR). Its effect on postoperative outcomes remains 
variably reported, particularly in developing countries. 
Objectives: To evaluate the effect of obesity on perioperative parameters, complications, and 
functional outcomes following total knee replacement in a tertiary care hospital in South India.
