Abstract

Background: Pott's spine (spinal tuberculosis) is a debilitating extrapulmonary manifestation of tuberculosis, accounting for nearly 50% of osteoarticular TB cases in India. Vitamin D plays a pivotal role in immune modulation, particularly in mycobacterial defence. Despite India receiving abundant sunlight, vitamin D deficiency remainsĀ  paradoxically prevalent, especially in the eastern states including West Bengal
