Abstract

Background: Uterine fibroids (leiomyomata) are the most common benign tumours of the female reproductive tract. They contribute significantly to gynaecological morbidity in women of reproductive age. In West Bengal, many women present with symptomatic fibroids requiring surgical intervention. This  study was undertaken to analyse the clinical profile and surgical management of uterine fibroids in a tertiary care setting
