Abstract

Background: Melasma is a common acquired disorder of facial hyperpigmentation characterized by symmetrical brown to grey-brown macules and patches, predominantly affecting individuals with darker Fitzpatrick skin types. Its chronic and recurrent nature makes 
treatment challenging. Chemical peeling and low-fluence Q-switched Nd:YAG (QS-Nd:YAG)  laser are commonly used procedural therapies, but comparative clinical and dermoscopic evidence remains limited
