Circadian variation of the onset of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) has been reported by some studies and may carry
important pathophysiologic implications. Some studies show an increased onset in the morning between 6:00 AM and 12:00
noon. Furthermore, a secondary peak in the late evening has also been reported in some studies.
