ROLE OF ABSCISIC ACID AND GIBBERELLINS WITH ENVIRONMENTAL CUES IN SEED DORMANCY AND GERMINATION

Abstract

Seed dormancy and germination are two physiological characteristics that are intricately linked and have a
significant impact on seed plant survival and adaptation.They are influenced by internal and external
environmental factors.The amount of water, light, temperature and nitrogen all have an impact on seed
dormancy and germination. The present state of knowledge on signal transduction pathways regulating seed
dormancy and germination is summarized in this article.
