Abstract

Background:
Stroke is a leading cause of mortality and disability worldwide, with ischemic stroke being the most
prevalent type. Dyslipidemia, particularly elevated lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] levels, has been identified
as a potential risk factor for ischemic stroke, although findings across studies are inconsistent. This
study aims to explore the association between Lp(a) levels and lipid profiles in patients with
thrombotic stroke.
