ASSESSMENT OF KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND MENSTRUAL HYGIENE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AMONG ADOLESCENT GIRLS OF DISTRICT BARABANKI, UTTAR PRADESH

Abstract

Background: Menstruation is an integral part of human life,but there is lack of scientific 
knowledge about it among adolescent girls. Due to which it is linked with several 
misconceptions and practices. This study aims to assess knowledge, attitude and Menstrual 
Hygiene Management practices among adolescent girls of district Barabanki.
Material & method: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 640 school going 
adolescent girls. Multistage sampling technique was used and data was collected using apredesigned and pre- tested questionnaire.
