BACKGROUND: Current descriptions of the history of subtotal
cholecystectomy require more details and accuracy. The first
cholecystectomy was performed by Carl Langenbuch in the Lazarus hospital
of Berlin on 15 July 1882. AIMS AND OBJECTIVE: To Study the outcome of
Laparoscopic Subtotal cholecystectomy without Cystic Duct Ligation (Open tract
or fenestrative) for difficult Cholecystitis.
